I have compiled my own version of jack2 - v1.9.10 and used that as a master
server just in case the precompiled version that comes with ubuntu studio
lacks a feature or something.
jack starts file with cmd:
./jackd -v -s -R  -dalsa -dhw:DSP24,0 -r44100 -p64 -n2
and the messages that appear once it has been loaded:

deaf?
